8 Days kathmandu – Lhasa tour (Tibet tour)

Day 1: About 7 hours’ drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (137 km).

On the way you can see deep gorges, snowcapped mountains and typical Nepali villages including Langtang National park.

Day 2: About 5 hours’ drive to Kyirong (40 km)
After breakfast we drive about 15 km and arrive to Tibet border. Then again we drive about 25 km and arrive to Kyirong (2800m) and stay overnight. On the way you will visit Paba Temple and Gelukpa temple made by Tibetan king.

Day 3: Drive about 10 hours to Tingri via Everest base camp (480 km)
On the way you will explore Peikutso Lake and grass land. We drive continue to Everest base camp and visit Rongbuk Monastery and cross GawuLa pass (5198m).

Day 4: About 7 hours’ drive to Shigatse (280 km)
On the way you will see the seat of Panchen Lama (Tashilunpo Monastery)

Day 5: Drive to Lhasa via Gyantse(375km)
On the way you will explore Tibetan farmer village, Perklor Monastery, Kumbum stupa, Manak Dam Lake, korola Glacier and Yamdrok Lake.

Day 6: Lhasa Tour
You will explore Potala Palace that is winter palace of the Dalai Lama, the 7th century Jokhang temple and Barkhor Street.

Day 7: Lhasa tour.
In the morning you will visit Drepung Monastery which was founded in 1416.In the afternoon visit Sera monastery and at evening farewell dinner.

Day 8: Drive to airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
