Trekking trail of Pathibhara is on the east direction from the capital of Nepal. Pathibhara trekking is named after goddess Pathibhara Devi. It is a short trek that is completed in five days. Pathibhara trekking starts at Suketar in Taplejung district. Pathibhara trekking offers diversity of wildlife, birds, flowers and butterflies. The beautiful view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga range can be seen from Pathibhara trail.  

Pathibhara goddess is worshiped by both Hindu and Buddhist followers. Local people believe that Pathibhara Devi is a wish-fulfilling goddess. Mainly those who do not have a son worship her as there is a common belief that she gives a son and wealth.

Best time for Pathibhara trekking is March to June and September to November. A brief visit to several monasteries, waterfalls, and Timbuk pond on the way to trekking is quite interesting.

Pathibhara trekking itinerary

01 Day: Pick up from Kathmandu international airport and drop to hotel

02 Day: Fly from Kathmandu to Suketar and trek to Deurali

03 Day: Trek to Phedi about 5 hours

04 Day: Trek to Pathibhara about 3 hours and trek back to Phedi

05 Day: Trek to Suketar about 5 hrs

06 Day: Fly back to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner

07 Day: Drive to international airport and fly back onwards destination
