Upper Mustang Trek is an upper Mustang tour and holiday package to explore the hidden kingdom of Lo Manthang. Mustang is the hidden kingdom of the world. On top of the Kaligandaki River, Mustang lies in the north of the Annapurna region, bordering Kagbeni village. The last point of the Upper Mustang trek reaches Lo-Mangthang, a walled city of whitewashed mud bricks with wonderful Buddhist prayer wheels and stupas. Mustang preserves one of the last undisturbed Tibetan cultures in the world.

The trek to Upper Mustang begins north of Kagbeni. In Upper Mustang, we can see the oldest Buddhist monasteries and nunneries built into forbidding cliffs and mountain ledges. Mustang Trek was opened in 1990 and is still a restricted area for cultural conservation.

A 10-day trekking permit costs USD $500 in government fees. The best season for Mustang trekking is May through August. Treks to Mustang can be easily done in September and October.

The dry landscape and cave, the Palace, indigenous people, culture, and ancient monasteries are the main attractions of the Mustang trek.
