Ganesh Himal region trekking is very rich in culture and tradition of the Tamang ethnic group of Nepal. Tamang are the Mongolian face people and most of them are Buddhist in religion. Ganesh Himal is named after the name of the very famous Hindu fortune god Ganesh. According to Hindu beliefs god Ganesh brings the good luck. People believe elephant headed god Ganesh resides in the Ganesh Himalaya Mountain and it is a holy mountain.
