Ganesh Himal region trekking is very rich in culture and tradition of the Tamang ethnic group of Nepal. Tamang are the Mongolian face people and most of them are Buddhist in religion. In Ganesh Himal trekking we trekkers can explore Buddhist monuments like Chorten, Stupa and Monastry.They live close to the Ganesh Himal region. Ganesh Himal is named after the name of the very famous Hindu fortune god Ganesh. According to Hindu beliefs god Ganesh brings the good luck. So before starting any kinds of business people worship him. Ganesh is the elephant headed god and he is the son of the Hindu supreme god Shiva and Parbati. People believe elephant headed god Ganesh resides in the Ganesh Himalaya Mountain and it is a holy mountain.
Ganesh Himal can be clearly seen from Kathmandu valley and it is divided into many parts like Ganesh Himal I, Ganesh Himal II, Ganesh Himal III and Ganesh Himal IV.
