Tour in Nepal is exciting because it allows you to explore diverse cultures, arts, architecture, traditions, and religions both inside and outside of Kathmandu Valley, which is the country's most culturally rich valley. It is one of the spiritual valleys, as many Hindu and Buddhist gods and goddesses, sages, and gurus (teachers) visited this place in ancient times. There is a belief that Kathmandu was a meditation center for many Hindu and Buddhist gods and goddesses. The existing Hindu temples, Buddhist sputas, and monasteries in the Kathmandu Valley represent this belief.
There are many vihars (the Buddhist schools) in the valley. The establishment of vihars was intended to teach people about Buddhist philosophy, religion, and daily rituals.
Kathmandu Valley is home to three Durbar Squares that date from the 12th to the 19th centuries and were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Durbar Square is the area of the former Royal Palace where the king's palace and various temples associated with various gods and goddesses were located. Therefore, Durbar Square is a collection of temples and royal palaces.
In Nepal, people and the rulers were extremely religious and believed to be protected by gods and goddesses in case of any mishaps in their kingdom. As a result, many different types of temples were built in the names of gods and goddesses to honor their important duties and roles on humans and the universe.There are temples dating from the 12th to the 19th centuries in Durbar Square that have been renovated from time to time. Each palace has a Kumari (living goddess) house. The Kumari is both the royal palace's and the people's protector. The Kumari in Kathmandu's Durbar Square is considered to be the most important and original one.
There are mainly three different types of temples.

3. Shikhar (Peak) style People from different cultural, ethnic and religious background live in the Kathmandu Valley where the arts, architects, festivals and rituals are quite diverse. The 'Newars' are the original inhabitant of the Kathmandu Valley. Most of them are very traditional who still follow their rituals and festivals to preserve their culture.
