Lumba Sumba trekking is the less touristic and new trekking route located in eastern part of Nepal.The name of this trail was derived from the name of the Lumba Sumba peak. The height of the Lumba Sumba peak is 5200 meters. The main attraction of this route is spectacular view of Kanchanjanga Himalaya and Makalu Himal. The landscape is really unique and beautiful. The culture of Limbu, Sherpa, Rai, Gurung, Magar, Newar and Tamang is interesting to learn in this trek.

Lumba Sumba trekking passes through the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area. The tourists can explore different species of bird and wildlife including the endangered snow leopard and red panda. The trekkers can also explore alpine grass lands,dense temperate and subtropical forests and low river valley. Apart from natural beauty, the tourists can explore cultural heritage like monasteries, chhortens, temples and praying wheels. It is a less touristic trekking area with no hotels. Hence, only camping trek can be done in this trail.
