Rolwaling trek is excellent adventure trek for trekkers that wish to experience a lonely steep-walled high valley Rolwaling called as “the grave” by Sherpa indigenous peoples in Nepal. Rolwaling is rarely visited most attractive region in Nepal, in the shade of the Rolwaling Himal. The remote Rolwaling valley, situated to the east of Kathmandu valley, offers lots of challanging mountaineering adventures. Rolwaling supposed to be a home of the notorious “Yeti”, yet to be confirmed by the researchers.

Trekkers often spend about two weeks in Rolwaling area climbing to the Na Yak pastures at 4,700m height. During the Rolwaling trek, the tourists are greeted by a spectacular panorama of the Gauri Shanker Himal (7,145m) and Melungtse peak (7,181m).  Starting from Charikot, the trail leads up along the Tamba Kosi River bank under the shadow of the Gauri Shanker Himal. Covering the mountain terrain of the Nepal-China (Tibet) border, the trail to this pass goes between huge mountains along glaciers.

Trekkers can view the most popular villages like Beding and its monastery (3,690m) and Na Gaun (4,120m) in Rolwaling trek. Above Na Gaun, the trail meanders up to a high lake called Chorolpa (4,540m) and the lateral moraines of the Rolwaling glacier below the Rolwaling icefall (5,181m).
